GPI’s First Graduates
JCCY’s Global Pastors Institute is a three year program leading to the Certificate of Pastoral Ministry. The curriculum includes up to 18 subjects related to Pastoral Ministry including Leadership, Church Planting, Preaching, Church Administration, Theology, Pastoral Care, Interpretation of Scripture, Inductive Bible Study, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Church History, Basic Apologetics and more.

Training Indian Pastors All The Way From North Carolina
Rev. John Balmer has trained thousands of pastors, church planters and leaders from many countries in the world. He joins JCCY’s Global Pastors Institute from November 4-13 to conduct intensive training in Expository Preaching. The founder and president of Training Pastors International, he formerly served as the Missions Director at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Before that he served on staff at Olford Ministries International in Memphis, Tennessee.
Rev. Balmer is a graduate of Wheaton College (BA), Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and is completing his DMin from Columbia International University. His is married to Jennifer and they live in North Carolina.
Two of Hawaii’s Finest Train Philippine Pastors
Rev. Owen Tanoue, JCCY Vice-President and Senior Pastor of Christ’s Church at Aiea along with Dr. Rick Bartosik, Senior Pastor of Mililani Community Church are part of JCCY’s Global Pastors Institute in Pangasinan, Philippines. In partnership with Rev. Rolando Santiago specialized ministry training will be given on subjects of Bible Interpretation and Preaching. This is the final series of the first year in three year program leading to the Certificate of Pastoral Ministry.
Rev. Owen Tanoue is graduate of Yale University (BS) and International College and Graduate School (MAR, MDiv). He worked for 15 years in management with IBM before transitioning into full time ministry. He is married to Kim. They have five sons: Nathan, Matthew, Gabriel, Micah and Joel.
Dr. Rick Bartosik is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM, DMin). He served for more than 15 years with the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry before going into the pastorate. He is married to Diane. They have one son, David.
